Joshua – What’s Really Important in Life

This term we finish the book of Joshua a study we started last year when we explored chapters 1-8.

At first reading it can seem tedious to wander through the geography of the promised land, but there is much to learn here. As we stand on the edges of the promises God has given us these days, the people of Joshua’s day can teach us much about what is really important in life as they take hold of God’s promises to them.

Over the coming weeks we’ll explore the veracity of God’s promises, our great need to trust them, and we will think through how we might do that when the odds against us seem overwhelming. We’ll also dip our toes into contemporary issues like justice in society, a Christian’s guidance and raising children.

We will see again the centrality of the word of God in our life and the absolute necessity for us to always keep before us the way God has always provided for his people and how he continues to keep his promises. If you can’t make it to a particular Sunday event the talks will be on this website soon after the day.
